Q: What was your overall experience like at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center and what made you chose this venue?
A: I loved it and all the people who worked with us to make that day amazing. Hayley Henderson and Mrs. Weezy are a dream team together, from everything big and small, to the color of the napkins to the layout of the reception they covered it all. They are awesome, and I never felt overwhelmed knowing they were taking care of every time.
Q: Describe the menu you selected for your guests!
A: We had lemon pepper chicken, beef tips, garlic mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and summer vegetables! We had the spring salad, a coffee bar, regular bar, tea, and water!
Q: Which theme did you select for your lovely event and how did it relate to you and your spouse?
A: We chose to not chose a theme but more so to just keep a classic feel to everything. We didn’t go over the top but wanted to keep everything simple. Everything about us has always been simple so we knew our wedding should be the same way. It felt small, intimate and at home.
Q: What was your first impression when you saw the decorated venue on the day of the event?
A: It was AMAZING. From all the centerpieces with the ivy, the old Windows on our guest table and the lanterns illuminating the rooms with the lights hanging from the ceiling it was all beautiful!
Q: How did you and your husband meet?
Chris and I met originally through mutual friends in high school, I was dating someone else at the time, and then we reconnected when we went to CSU together. We started with just hanging out, going to Mama Goldberg’s and me telling him I would never date him and just wanted to be friends (we see who won that one). Finally, we started dating, and he is my best friend. I know I found the man of my dreams. I don’t think there is anyone else in the world I would ever pick that knows me better than myself. God knew what he was doing when he put him in my life.
