A Dream Come True // Brittney & Jake
“I went for a traditional style. I wanted it to be intimate with family and close friends. The white, gold, and greenery really helped pull that together. It was beyond beautiful.”
Traditional and intimate was exactly what this wedding was. The Siter Wedding was absolutely stunning. Our meeting rooms 103 and 104 are the absolute perfect rooms for a small, intimate wedding. The ceremony was held in room 103 followed by a reception in 104.
“My most favorite part was seeing how it all pulled together. I think even if you have all the help in the world you still stress about everything, hoping and praying it will be perfect. Seeing Jake’s face light up when I walked in, surrounded by the love of our family and friends, was all I could dream of. I honestly couldn’t wait to have that one moment walking down the aisle so when I saw him I practically ran. It was probably the shortest entrance in history.”
The Siters met at the Columbus Police Department where they both work as police officers. Both Jake and Brittney have been married before, Jake has a son from a previous marriage (John Wyatt) and they have their daughter (Livi Lee) together.
“Our relationship has been far from traditional to say the least. Jake is my best friend. No matter my feeling, he is my first choice to run to. We have sacrificed so much and have worked so hard to make our relationship strong. I can’t begin to tell you how proud it makes me.”
“We compliment each other and what one lacks the other excels. I knew I loved Jake from the moment when it wasn’t just about butterflies and heart stops, but when I could truly talk to him and he listened, understood me, and comforted me. Life is sometimes messy and sometimes we find ourselves in these spells. Our profession doesn’t help at times either but having someone who absolutely gets it and will weather any and all storms with you is the best feeling in the world.”
The Siters are expecting a baby boy this summer! We are so happy we could be a part of such a big day and love watching their family grow!
